Our History
In 1975, Stokes Masonry was founded by Earl Stokes. He performed firebrick and refractory work throughout the Southeast. In 1982, Stokes Masonry becomes a distributor for Combustion Engineering Refractories. This opened the door to many power plants and paper mills. In 1995 Earl Stokes purchases Crawford Boiler & Engineering for its “R” certificate. Earl saw the need for the company to be able to provide total powerhouse maintenance.

Our mission is to provide professional and friendly service at fair pricing that focuses on safety and training that is relevant in the industrial work environment today.
Crawford Boiler Today
Crawford Boiler is still a family owned business. Our day to day operations are now ran by Earl’s sons, John and William. Our primary focus is Power House Maintenance in the Power Generation and Pulp & Paper Industries.
John started with the company in 1992. He began running his own jobs in 1995 and is now a Project Manager & Estimator.
William graduated from GA Tech with a ME degree in 1994. He started with the company in 1995. He is the QCM for our R and S stamp programs. He is also a Project Manager & Estimator.
